Planned Giving
There are different ways to make a gift to The HAP Foundation. Here are some examples:
· IRA Gifts: Many HAP supporters give directly from their IRA. If you are 70 ½ or older, making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA can be simple and has tax advantages. These contributions can help meet the required minimum distribution (RMD) while lowering taxable income. Contact your IRA provider for further details.
· Donor-Advised Fund Gifts: Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are another way donors give to The HAP Foundation. By donating through your DAF, you can recommend grants to your favorite charities from one account in a simple, streamlined way.
· Legacy Gifts: For many years, supporters have included The HAP Foundation in their estate plans. By including The HAP Foundation as a beneficiary in your will or naming HAP as a beneficiary of your retirement account, savings or investment account or life insurance, you can impact the future of the organization.
· Stock Gifts: Some donors choose to donate stock rather than cash. Stock gifts help avoid capital gains taxes while benefitting from the full market value of your contribution. Additionally, you may still qualify for a charitable deduction. Click here to download stock transfer form.
The HAP Foundation is a 501( c )(3) non-profit organization. Gifts to The HAP Foundation are tax-deductible. Our Federal Tax I.D. is 36-3820916.
