A Week Away 

A Week Away works to finance and coordinate respite weeks for individuals and their loved ones who are dealing with a life-threatening illness – enabling them to find the peace and energy needed to continue fighting their disease. The only requirement for A Week Away are that the patient must be diagnosed by a medical doctor with a life-threatening illness, and the patient must be actively treating their condition. However, A Week Away will also consider applicants if treatments have recently concluded. This is a Pennsylvania based organization that serves individuals in several PA counties.
