A Community Effort

A Community Effort understands the time away from home, family, and work associated with having a child affected by childhood cancer. A Community Effort also understands the impact this has on families’ ability to afford basic living expenses, including mortgage/rent, electricity, gas, car, and other payments. ACE’s mission is to ease the non-medical financial burden that can overwhelm families caring for chronically ill child. ACE’s works with social workers at the hospital to identify families in need of help. Once a family is identified, an application is submitted for approval from the ACE Board. Once approved, ACE makes payment directly to the ventdor to remove the burden from the family. ACE also provides the payment confirmations to the family should they need for future reference.
